Aromatherapy and healing uses for Lemon essential oil:
Pungent Lemon essential oil is a wonderful oil that has many healing and household uses.
It is used aromatherapeutically to clear and stimulate the mind while relaxing the muscles and relieving stress. It promotes health, healing and energy!
It's bodily uses include as an antibacterial and antiseptic. It is good for oily skin conditions (when blended with a carrier oil) and can be used as a tonic for the lymphatic and digestive system. Aids weight loss when taken in water and will break up cellulite when used with massage. Dilute well when used on the skin.
Caution: lemon oil can bleach hair and fabrics. In the 70's, I sprayed lemon juice on my hair to lighten it in the summer. It works exceptionally well!
Do not use this oil full-strength on skin. Dilute well with a carrier oil (or in bath water) before using directly on the skin. It has a rich, fruity and warm aroma. Mix 5 drops lemon, 5 drops lavender and 3 drops peppermint essential oils in bath water with epsom salts for one of the most wonderfully cleansing and healing baths you will ever have!
Do not use lemon essential oil on the skin if you are sensitive to, or allergic to, any citrus fruits.
